G’day and Welcome to ‘Buckley’s Chance’. Our Artisan café & restaurant is located in Alstonville’s Heritage Post Office Est. 1909 (20mins from Ballina and 30 mins from Byron Bay).

Bret Cameron
Welcoming Bret Cameron to the Buckley’s Chance team.
Bret has worked across the Northern Rivers region for over 10 years collectively. Hailing from Dunedin in New Zealand, Bret Cameron is one of Australia’s renowned hatted chefs, formerly leading kitchens of renowned Harvest Newrybar and Three Blue Ducks.
Bret returns to the Northern Rivers collaborating with long-time friends in the Australian inspired Artisan Café & Restaurant Buckley’s Chance in Alstonville.
Bret is known for his passion and knowledge of native and
wild foods, reconnecting people’s perceptions with real food. Destined to put Alstonville on the food map, enjoy Bret’s clever cooking celebrating all things wild and sustainable.
